A cat by the till
Walk into a shop in Japan and there is a decent chance a small ceramic cat is sitting by the till with one paw raised. That is a 招き猫, a maneki-neko, the beckoning cat. It has been the patron figure of shopkeepers for a couple of centuries, and the raised paw is an invitation.
It seemed like the obvious mascot for a supply company.
What we're not
Small, honest, opinionated
We're not a warehouse, we're not a marketplace, and we're not going to tell you a toy will improve your cat's health. We pick a small number of things we'd want in our own home, put a name and a story on them, and ship them to you honestly.
There is one real cat behind all of this, and she has opinions.
