Slow feeders are good at slowing eating down. That is the claim, and it is the one we will make. They are not a treatment for any medical condition, and if your cat is vomiting after meals regularly, that is a vet conversation rather than a bowl purchase. Getting a cat to accept one
- Introduce it alongside the old bowl. Do not swap cold. Some cats need a few days.
- Kibble and chunky wet food work best. Very runny food defeats the puzzle entirely.
- Low and wide beats deep. Whiskers touching the sides puts some cats off eating.
