Every collar we sell has a safety catch that opens under pressure. This is not a feature we are proud of inventing, it is the baseline, and a cat collar without one is a genuine hazard whoever made it. If your cat is wearing a collar right now, it is worth checking the buckle tonight.
Choosing a cat collar

Check the catch first. Pull it firmly. It should release. A buckle that only unclips when you press two tabs is a dog collar.

Fit two fingers underneath. Re-check monthly, and more often for a cat still growing.

Weight matters less than you think. Most adult cats stop noticing a collar within a day.

If you want to track your cat
The Omamori Collar holds your own Apple AirTag in a silicone pocket. Worth knowing before you buy: an AirTag is a finder on Apple's Find My network, not a live GPS tracker, and the honest objections to putting one on a cat are not really about the weight. The hat
