A corner groomer is a fixed object with soft rubber spikes that a cat rubs its own face against. Nothing to charge, nothing to switch on, and no part of it requires you to hold a brush near a cat that would rather you did not.
Placement matters more than the brush
This is the part most people get wrong. A groomer mounted somewhere your cat has no reason to walk past will be ignored for months. Mounted at shoulder height on a corner they already rub, it gets used the same day. We have written up where to put one and what to expect.
- Shoulder height, on a route they already take. Doorframes and sofa corners are reliable.
- Give it a week. Some cats need time to trust a new object in a familiar room.
- Face and cheeks, not coat. A corner groomer works the spots a cat leans into for a fuss. It is not a substitute for brushing a long-haired cat.
